Bill Taylor mini Autobiography

As you read this imagine Morgan Freemans' voice narrating

I was raised in Buchanan County for most of my early life.  We lived on an old family homestead situated at the foot of Bradshaw Mountain at the headwaters of Slate Creek.  I attended J.M. Bevins Elementary and then Whitewood High School.  I graduated Whitewood High School the Summer of 1995 as a Junior and continued on to Southwest Virginia Community College the following Fall where I majored in Electrical Engineering.  After several semesters of work I had to drop out due to life circumstances but always intended to finish later.  My late teenage years I drifted between Virginia and North Carolina taking whatever work was available.  I had been training to drive tractor-trailers over-the-road when an opportunity to re-enroll into college became available. I changed my major to Science and finished with and Associate of Applied Science degree in Science.  It was also during this time I met the future Mrs. Taylor.  We both transferred to UVA –Wise and finished our Bachelor Degrees.  After graduation, we moved back to Buchanan County. An opening within the school system was available and I accepted.  I was later transferred to Grundy High School to fill a Science Teacher vacancy and I have continued with that for about ten years.
